  • Workbooks/textbooks:
    • These books are filled with activities and stories.  The stories have Reading Counts quizzes for your child.
      • Writing Handbook
      • Journey’s Close Reader
      • Houghton Mifflin Reading (Adventures and Delights)
  • Religion:
  • Math:
    • Flashcards- The students know how to review facts by playing Memory/Concentration or Mix and Math.
    • Play board games that require adding dice.

  • Writing:
    • Keep a journal to practice writing.  Expect complete sentences and correct punctuation and capitalization. Work on expanding with details.  Enclosed is a spellcheck page and a Super Star Sentences checklist.

  • Typing and Coding Programs:
    • Use the card to locate websites, username and password.

  • Home Learning Menus:
    • These are helpful ways to encourage learning.  

  • Read Everyday! There is a great website called epic! That has lots of great books! See handout for directions to login to our class. Also, check the HMH book expert website to see if books you have at home are in your child’s lexile so they can take Reading Counts quizzes on them when we return.
