It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! This week the second grade class has searched their closets and rounded up coats, gloves, hats and scarves. Today we walked our collection down the road to one of the wonderful businesses in Jefferson City that has a coat rack set up outside their business the sign says "Need a coat, take a coat. Have a coat, leave a coat." Thank you for sending in all the items, your children got to experience first hand giving from the heart and expected nothing in return.

Fr. Joe!!
Oh my GOODNESS, it's Fr. Joe!!! I had the opportunity to meet him a couple of weeks ago. Those that know me, know I just think he is the greatest! He has written several children's books and has videos that I use in class for reconciliation, communion & the mass. It was such a treat! He even wrote a special note to the kids.

Reconciliation
I am so very excited that your child is ready to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We have been preparing for this special time and I also appreciate your help too! Please review page 80 to help your child with their Examination of Conscience.
You will see that your child is bringing home their Encounter with Christ Reconciliation book each night. Please have your child take this book with them when they go to confession.
Your child may also use pages 73-75 to help them with the steps of Penance, Reconciliation and the Acts of Contrition prayer when they go into the confessional.
Thanks again for all of your faithful support.
